(More customer reviews)This book was picked out by my three year old grandchild at the public library, and he was delighted by the sharp contrast between "boring" Bob and zany Jack. We (his grandparents) were also delighted and amused and, at his request have read it to him again and again. The illustrations are excellent, and I suppose that there is there is a theme that entirely different people can still be friends. We have given this book to other three year olds, and it has always been received with delight.

(More customer reviews)As an elementary teacher, I'm surprised this book is not more popular today. I remember it from my childhood as being my very favorite picture book, partly because we had a dog like Fletcher. Fletcher demonstrates an intense devotion and insecurity about his mistress's love for him. He's jealous of the chickens she raises. To solve this problem, he gets his friends to build a gigantic egg around him, hoping to get her attention by resembling the eggs/chickens she dotes upon. It's a creative way to solve his problem. I plan to use the book in my classroom to illustrate point of view, problem solving, cooperation and character's feelings. (Plus I just like any story that's about a dog!)

(More customer reviews)This was a great story for children in and of itself, but when you stop to really think about the symbolism it held it was amazing. It teaches children and adults alike that God loves each and every one of us. He made us each different, yet perfect in our own ways. It is only when we stop talking to Him that we lose His guidance. He is always there waiting and hoping for us to come back to Him. And repentance is painful, yet necessary and worth it. Max Lucado writes wonderful stories that teach all readers more about God's love for us. A wonderful read!!

Her mom gives the keeper about $50 to feed the animals and he uses it for whiskey. The go back and take the wolf home with them. Lee is supposed to take care of this wolf Ruthie. Slowly Ruthie begins to trust Lee. Then one day Lee gets a call from a man who has a small wolf pack. He can't take care of them anymore and asks her to take care of them if he gives her enough meat for the whole pack for the rest of their existence. She says yes and she gets enough meat for Ruthie and the rest of the pack. She basically falls in love with them. How ever her sister Savannah is scared to death of Ruthie and the rest of the wolves and the neighbors don't like them. They try to poisin them and Savannah saves them. The rest I will leave for you to find out. Have fun!!

(More customer reviews)All parents can easily identify with the not-so-easy routine of dressing a child. It's especially unsettling if the child is young, it's cold outside and they want to dress themselves.
Robie H. Harris has written another lively romp that looks at the lives of parents and children everywhere with I'm All Dressed! I quickly identified with the exasperated parents attempting to leave the house when the child wants to get dressed "his way," which he considers the right and only way.
This is a humorous look at getting dressed through the eyes of a child. It's thought-provoking look at growing up for parents. Our little ones want and need independence. Getting dressed is one area where their choices probably won't be dangerous, only somewhat embarrassing to parents.
I enjoy Nicole Hollander's colorful illustrations. They are eye-catching in their simplicity. Children will immediately be drawn to them.
Armchair Interviews says: A little lesson for parents: children need to learn. Allowing them to dress themselves is a good thing, even if it's not what we consider the right way. It's important that the child is satisfied.
