The strength of the book is the set of charming, sweet drawings by the wonderful Chih-Yuan Fen. Mimi Says NO is almost--but not quite--a wordless book. The story arcs work, although the writing itself is not at the same level: both have the hint of the didactic to it, although only a whiff.
The format of the book is interesting and different, in that it is smaller than the average picture book and still wider than an early reader.Member, Smart Book Lovers, a High IQ Society.
