Using a multifocal vision, this book spells out the principles of empowerment as a method. This is the kind of book that makes you want to know the author personally because of the human touch that is provided; this book is very readable too.The subtitle--Building the Beloved--speaks for itself. I appreciated the up-to-date references and statistics.An excellent reference book for instructors and social workers interested in the empowerment approach.
